We have a winner!

Mango Suites has a new tagline in ' The hotel that stays with you...'

This works for Mango Suites in several ways:

* It's Disruptive. We turned a legacy industry upside down. The hotel that stays with YOU!

Nomenclature!

Each Mango Suites had to be tagged with a location tag so as to uniquely identify one Hotel from another.

With our creative minds and folk in the organization, tasks like these are always challenging due to the sheer number of ideas that tend to get generated.

We spent a month deliberating over tag names like city names, locations, historical places nearby, flowers, spices, greats from history, constellations etc.

In the end we were able to achieve some sense of unanimity with words describing excellence, greatness and perfection. After all, these are qualities we aspire for at IntelliStay Hotels.

Locations now have tag names such as Mango Suites | Bravo, Mango Suites | Apex, Mango Suites | Maestro etc.

Validation!

The Mango Suites have started rolling out from December 2010 at the rate of two per month.

We are now at Bangalore in two locations, Mysore, Amritsar, Secunderabad and a third in Bangalore is to be launched shortly.

Mango Suites won the Best Presentation award at Lock Stock and Trade - The Mock IPO contest organized by NEN, IIM Bangalore, and SPJIMR.

The Value Proposition

Mango Suites never set out to be the BEST hotel in terms of facilities and functions.

Mango Suites works within the limitation that everything that may be offered has to be viable under the Glass Ceiling of the targeted ARR or price per night. This is integral to our Blue Ocean strategy and to integrate meaningfully with the requirement of low-cost airline and first class train passengers.

Often, it is such limitation that spurs innovation and out-of-the-box thinking, that can be successfully implemented.

As a result, we have had to add weightage to the functions most sought by our targeted market and do an evaluation based on market research , tied to that weightage. After a lot of work, we derived our version of 'The Expectations' as we understood it and surpassed them. What would the market say?

Six months after the launch of Mango Suites CENTURY in Udupi-Manipal, our guests have rated us as the Number 1 Hotel in the region even above the luxury offerings and additionally as the No.1 for Business:

80% of guests, in their reviews, have used the exact phrase 'Value For Money' although we have never used this in any of our communication.

Beacon of Hope...

Today at 5 pm in the dusky drizzle in Udupi, a Beacon burned for the first time.. the large signage cresting the elevation of the Mango Suites | Century and the roadside signages were electrified and burned a bright blue with the white oblong inset screaming to the world that 'Mango Suites' d arrived and with it, a beacon of hope for the frequent business traveler...

First Mango Suites property launched!

Mango Suites launch the first Mango Suites location in the twin cities of Udupi-Manipal. With this launch, the Mango Suites idea, that has been in development, moves into execution and revenue generation phase. Based on the franchise model, Mango Suites plan to systematically create a national footprint of smart executive hotels with a view to offer convenient, dignified and affordable accommodation as a solution to corporates, SMEs and entrepreneurs.

The company has partnered with the Manipal based company, Century Comforts Pvt Ltd to bring the first 'Mango Suites' concept hotel to life in the predominantly education driven twin cities. With 56 rooms, Mango Suites | Century is the first standardized hotel based in Udupi. Located just 500 yards from the District Bus Stand, the hotel is located conveniently in the heart of Udupi City and just 4 Km from Manipal.

Mango Suites | Century will offer its guests air conditioned twin Hollywood studio suites with all the facilities expected of a standardized business hotel. Also available to the guest are 4 specialty restaurants, a convention center , a gymnasium and a board room.

The company plans to launch 3 more properties in 2009.
